Margin puts thoughtful writing at the center of your publication. A considered editorial layout pairs expressive headlines with a calm, readable article experience.
Create an editorial homepage, a paginated library, dedicated topic pages and a focused reading experience with an optional table of contents and related essays.
Choose the original Margin palette, Ocean, Clay or a custom accent. Set editorial serif or clean sans reading styles, reading size and a default light/dark scheme. Customize hero and signup copy, membership calls to action and optional homepage sections through Ghost Admin.
Use Ghost’s native editor, search, Portal memberships and comments. These features require configuration in your Ghost installation. Paid memberships require your own Stripe connection. Theme options do not change newsletter email layouts.
The demo shows an example publication. Demo essays, images, a Ghost hosting subscription and paid third-party services are not included in the theme purchase.
Faster homepage loading and improved layout stability, with optimized stylesheet delivery and font loading. The original typefaces, native Ghost features and customer customization options are preserved. The included guide explains the CSS build command for developers customizing the theme.

You’ll need Ghost 6+ and administrator access to upload themes and custom routes. Choose a Ghost(Pro) plan that permits custom themes, or a compatible self-hosted installation.
Ghost 6.x, starting at 6.0.0; tested with Ghost 6.72.0. A self-hosted Ghost installation, or a Ghost(Pro) plan that permits custom theme uploads.
Administrator access to upload the theme ZIP and routes.yaml.
Upload the included routes.yaml separately to enable the homepage, /library/ and /topics/ routes; configure navigation and create an About page.
Membership, comments, search and email are configured in Ghost. Paid memberships require a separate Stripe connection. Hosting, domain and third-party service fees are not included.
A LITTLE CLARITY BEFORE YOU BUY
One production Ghost publication, with associated development and staging environments. Customization and client handover are permitted under the Margin Single Website commercial license. Third-party fonts retain their own licenses.

Custom development, server maintenance, content entry and third-party service configuration are outside theme support. No guaranteed response or resolution deadline is included.
